Meet Our 2025/26
Community Partners
Montgomery County Community College
Cupola Academy is thrilled to be an official Partner School with MCCC. Offering dual enrollment, CA teens are afforded special opportunities and tuition discounts at MCCC due to CA’s involvement as a Partner School.
Fluxspace
Fluxspace’s tagline is “Inspiring the next generation of innovators,” a perfect compliment to the work we do at Cupola Academy. We are exited to partner with Fluxspace for a fourth year for workshops and field trips.
Next Level Homeschool
Known for their secular, intellectually stimulating content, Cupola Academy is proud to partner with Next Level Homeschool. On alternating years, CA offers an international travel opportunity through Next Level that brings to life a year-long science course in locations such as Panama or Costa Rica.
During the 2024-25 program year, CA teens journeyed to Panama at the culmination of their year-long Marine Zoology course. Our next offering will be during the 2026-27 program year. We encourage families to check out the numerous on-line courses that Next Level offers!
ChompShop
At Cupola, we champion innovation and fervently cultivate creativity. In 2022, Max and Kausi (founders and creators of ChompShop) introduced their prototype of the groundbreaking ChompShop to Cupola Academy.
This remarkable cardboard cutting tool, developed during their time at UPENN’s Integrated Products Masters Degree Program, swiftly captured the imagination of our young creators. We continue to partner with ChompShop as they bring their product to an even broader audience.
First Lego League
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Team Initiative, is an exhilarating program designed to immerse students aged 12 to 14 in the world of robotics and engineering.
This initiative is not just about building and programming robots; it's a platform for developing critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through engaging and competitive challenges set by the FIRST LEGO League.
Cupola Academy has had a FLL team since 2023. We offer youth the opportunity to participate in Lego League when there is collective interest among CA youth.
Harriett's Bookshop
Just weeks before the pandemic hit, Jeannine Cook opened Harriett’s Bookshop in Philadelphia as a way to celebrate Black women authors, activists, and artists. Since then, her work has taken on a larger role in the fight for space and sovereignty.
Cupola Academy is proud to partner with Harriett’s; from purchasing all of our books through Harriett’s to collaborating on workshops, we’re honored to support this local book store, and be the FIRST Community Partner of Harriett’s Bookshop.
Bryn Mawr Film Institute
BMFI holds a special place in the heart’s of CA co-founders, Mike and Julia. It’s where they got engaged in 2006! In more recent years, CA has benefitted from the rich talents of the BMFI education staff, finding ways to weave CA offers with that of BMFI’s film study offerings.
Riverbend
Although no longer CA’s primary “home,” we are grateful for the collaborations, past, present, and future, between CA and REEC.
Learning Thrives in Partnership
At Cupola Academy, we know that meaningful learning doesn’t happen in isolation. Our community partners help us expand what’s possible for our youth—offering experiences, expertise, and resources that connect learning to the wider world. From local businesses to international programs, these relationships reflect our belief in shared growth: when we work together, everyone benefits.

Honoring the Past.
Creating the Future.
Cupola Academy continues to evolve — not to follow trends, but to meet the real needs of learners and families today.
At Cupola Academy, we are building a vibrant learning ecosystem that grows through meaningful partnerships with community organizations. We are expanding access by offering summer programs, increasing financial aid, and delivering workshop series for the broader community.
Central to this vision is the transformation of Diamond Rock Farm into a fully-realized, dynamic, learner-centered educational space — a hub where community, creativity, and curiosity converge to cultivate a thriving culture of learning.
We are building something lasting — not just for now, but for the next generation.
