Creative Choice is where many Cupola journeys start—a warm, nurturing space designed for young people to imagine, tinker, and explore. Anchored in the belief that youth are born curious, this program gives them the freedom to investigate the world around them, build problem-solving skills, and develop confidence through hands-on discovery.
CC Program Highlights
✓ Hands-on exploration across science, art, math, literacy, the natural world, and more.
✓ Thoughtful balance of Facilitator- and youth-initiated activities that nurture curiosity, creativity, and independence.
✓ Emphasis on Process Consciousness—supporting youth in paying attention not only to what they do, but how they do it.
✓ Ample outdoor exploration and play, woven naturally into daily activities and seasonal rhythms.
✓ Collaborative, pro-social learning environment that fosters social-emotional growth, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
✓ End-of-Year Project—an annual keepsake such as framed self-portrait pairs or collage-style placemats featuring photos, family drawings, and handprints.
✓ Word Presents—personalized written reflections from Facilitators celebrating each youth’s growth, friendships, strengths, and memorable moments from the year.

Creative Choice+
Some young people just can’t get enough tinkering and exploring—so we offer an extra day just for them!
Creative Choice+ adds a third day of hands-on learning for youth in Creative Choice or Collaborative Pod 1. It’s a chance for deeper art projects, more outdoor adventures, and long stretches of uninterrupted creative time.
