Morning
Tuesday mornings in CP3 focus on developing strong, conceptually grounded mathematical understanding. During these middle school years, many youth begin to experience gaps due to overly abstract instruction. At Cupola, math remains concrete, meaningful, and rooted in real-world application.
Youth engage in hands-on projects—such as constructing garden beds to calculate area, perimeter, and volume, or applying geometric reasoning through collaborative building tasks—that allow them to make sense of increasingly complex concepts. Facilitators use tangible examples to bring abstract ideas to life, helping youth build a flexible foundation for advanced math in years ahead.
