Afternoon
Tuesday afternoons immerse CP3 youth in humanities experiences that blend critical thinking, creativity, and real-world purpose. Activities include mock debates, service-learning projects, reading historical fiction, and conducting independent research on youth-chosen topics.
A central focus is helping youth find their voice—through advocacy work, extemporaneous speaking, community presentations, and writing across genres, from imaginative storytelling to polished academic prose. Cupola Academy’s commitment to social justice provides a meaningful framework for these multi-week projects.
This work came to life recently when CP3 youth completed a yearlong historical research project on the octagonal schoolhouse across the street and secured its designation as a historical landmark—a testament to their scholarship, collaboration, and civic engagement.
